-WHAT- Annual Christmas Tree Pick Up

-WHERE- Town of Whitecourt

-WHEN- January 8th and so on

-DETAILS- Starting Monday crews will be picking up Christmas trees from the curbside on a weekly basis according to no particular schedule. Please place your tree where you would normally place your garbage and recycling. Trees must be free of all decorations and tinsel. Please do not place the tree in a bag. The Whitecourt Regional Landfill also has a designated drop-off area for trees and is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.

 

-WHAT-  55+ Chair Yoga

-WHERE-  Fox Creek Golden Circle Drop-in Centre

-WHEN- Every Monday 11am to 11:45am

-DETAILS- Enjoy the benefits of Yoga through a safe, gentle program increasing flexibility, range of motion and core strength. No pretzel poses or getting on the floor. Starting January 8th this free class will be every Monday. For more information please call CRC at 780-622-3758

-DETAILS- Uniquely Me  is a new program that promotes positive self-image and increased self-esteem for girls ages 10-12. The goal of the program is to build confidence in these pre-teens through communication and expression to help them understand the importance of being unique and not changing to please others. -DETAILS- All children in grades 2 to 6 are welcome drop in for some fun and games. All tweens are asked to bring a clean pair of indoor shoes. Free to attend

 

-WHAT-  2nd Annual Fundraiser for Slave Lake Minor Soccer

-WHERE-  Slave Lake

-DETAILS- Slave Lake Minor Soccer invites you to their 2nd Annual Fundraiser Indoor Tournament. Bring your family and friends along and have the best time cheering squad there! Looking for men, women and adult co-ed teams to all take part. Each team can register for only $100 by January 18th. Each team is guaranteed 4 games plus playoffs. -WHAT- Northlands Sno-Goers Poker Rally & Jamboree

-WHERE- Fox Creek

-WHEN- February 2nd to 3rd

-DETAILS- Weather and conditions permitting. Northlands Sno-Goers are an active snowmobile club with 250 km of well maintained trails. The annual Poker Rally will be on the first Saturday of February. This family event starts Friday Feb 2nd at 6pm tp 10pm with a Meet & Greet Social/Registration. Continues early Saturday at 8am with Light Breakfast and Registration. 80km Family Friendly Ride or 130km Experience Riders. Final Poker hand at 4pm Cocktails 5pm and Dinner at 6pm.
